FAQ

Common questions

RFE or Real Flight Event is an event that is usually organized at one or several airports. The main idea is that all participants fly under call signs and according to the schedules of real airlines during a specific period of time. Therefore, to participate in such an event, you must book a flight you want to perform in advance.

It should be noted that such events are organized quite rarely (usually once a year) and, as a rule, gather a large number of participants, both pilots and air traffic controllers.

MSE or Mega Slot Event is an event that is usually organized at one or several airports. Each participant of the event must book a specific slot for departure or arrival in advance and adhere to it directly during the event. This ensures an even distribution of flights within a certain time frame. As a result, pilots receive prompt service without extra holding zones, and controllers work without "breaking a sweat."

Look at the menu above, choose any flight in the Departures or Arrivals sections and book it as soon as possible.

Before going online, don't forget to read the flight briefing, and we strongly recommend to keep it at your fingertips during your flight!

Yes, you should use the aircraft type specified in the flight details. Of course, no one will deny you air traffic control services if you fly a different type. However, keep in mind that in this case, you may not receive a reward for participating in the event if one of the conditions for receiving it is using the corresponding aircraft type.

Departure time = EOBT. EOBT, or Estimated Off-Block Time, is the estimated time when the aircraft starts moving on the apron. This can mean either pushback from the parking stand or the start of taxiing if pushback is not required.

Arrival time = EIBT. EIBT, or Estimated In-Block Time, is the estimated time at which an aircraft will arrive at the parking position at the destination airport and be in-blocks. EIBT is equivalent to the airline's ETA (Estimated Time of Arrival).

In our system flight time refers to the duration between the departure time and the arrival time, including taxi-out and taxi-in. In other words, it is the time between the aircraft's first movement at the departure airport and its arrival at the gate at the destination airport.

When booking a slot for the MSE event, you may specify this time approximately, based on the standard flight time for the selected route. You can make the required adjustments later when dispatching the flight. Remember, it is very important to respect the departure/arrival slot times specified in the Booking System to ensure a smooth experience for all participants.

Unfortunately, the world of airlines changes quite quickly. Most likely, we simply haven’t had time to add the logo to the system. To speed up this process, please write to UA-WM.

Booking process

Authorization is required to make flight bookings more controlled and fair. Since the login happens through IVAO SSO, this additionally ensures that only members of our network can participate in the event.

Of course. We understand that your plans might change and you may not be able to participate in the event. In such a case, we only ask that you cancel your booking as early as possible so that your flight can be booked by another participant.

This error indicates that the booking system is currently unavailable for reservations, either because it is closed or has not yet opened.

This error occurs when a specific flight cannot be booked, often because the flight has already been booked by another user.

This message appears when the callsign you've chosen is already booked for another flight at the same or overlapping time. To avoid scheduling conflicts, there must be at least a 6-minute gap between the start or end times of flights sharing the same callsign. Please select another flight or adjust the timing.

For example, let's assume that someone else has booked a flight with a departure time of 14:00 UTC, an arrival time of 14:30 UTC, and the callsign URABC. In this case, you may book another flight with the same callsign only if it arrives at or before 13:54 UTC or departs at or after 14:36 UTC. Otherwise, you'll see this error.

This error occurs when the flight you’re trying to book overlaps with the timing of another flight you’ve already booked. To avoid scheduling conflicts, there must be at least a 6-minute gap between the start or end times of all booked flights. Please choose another flight whose timing does not conflict with your existing bookings.

For example, let's assume that you have already booked a flight with a departure time of 14:00 UTC and an arrival time of 15:00 UTC. In this case, you may book another flight only if it arrives at or before 13:54 UTC or departs at or after 15:06 UTC. Otherwise, you'll see this error.
